Wanda and Geoff ready to ring

Ringing Remembers

RInging Remembers was a national campaign to commemorate the 1400 bell ringers who died in the First World War. As well as remembering, the purpose of the campaign was to help recruit 1400 new bell ringers across the country in the lead up to the Remembrance Sunday. The culmination of the campaign was for all the new ringers across the country to take part in a peal in their various churches at 1230 on 11th November 2018.

Villagers Wanda and Geoff Savage registered for this campaign and had been learning to ring in St. Odulphus for several months. To complete the process, they rang with others in the local band in the church at 1230 on 11th November.
