There was one member of the public present.


The Minutes of 1st March 2016 Council meeting were accepted unanimously.

Matters Arising

Cllr Heap was thanked by the Council for preparing a defects list for items in the Village requiring repair. Cllr Warne kindly volunteered to examine the damaged seats reported by Cllr Heap. The Council agreed that wooden slats for seat repair would be preferable to plastic slats. It was anticipated that the work could be carried out by volunteers.

The Chairman reported that he had enquired into the replacement of the broken road sign and that the work was imminent.

Planning Permission

Cllr Martin distributed copies of planning applications which he had downloaded and generously printed. The Council supported a) the change of use from holiday lets to a single dwelling house at Lower Trewashford and b) minor amendments to Howton solar farm.

Commemoration of Queen's 90th Birthday

In the light of various activities being carried out in the Parish to celebrate the Queen’s birthday the Council resolved to pause before deciding upon any additional commemoration activity. Mrs Mavin said that the Horticultural Society and WI were preparing planters with red, white and blue flowers.


The Council approved the appointment of Mr. King as the internal auditor.

The Council approved the accounts and Annual Return for the year ended 31st March 2016.

Any Other Business

The Council undertook to enquire into the condition of the stiles on the public footpath.
