Public Forum

There were three members of the public present. An invitation was given from the floor by M. Floyd for Cllrs to visit the proposed new build at Pillaton Mill.


The Minutes of 5th January 2016 Council meeting were accepted unanimously.

Matters Arising


Planning Permission

Cllr. Martin volunteered to use his equipment to allow viewing of planning applications received electronically with there being no need to purchase equipment. The Council accepted the generous offer.

Any Other Business

The Chairman reported he had received confirmation from Cormac that the wooden finger post to be installed at Kernock was ready and awaiting installation.

Cllr. Harris undertook to discover the cost of repairing broken metal finger posts.

Cllr. Warne volunteered to examine the telephone box to see what repairs were necessary.

Cllr Harris informed the meeting that he did not think it necessary to attend any further Network meetings.

It was noted that there was no support for creating a neighbourhood plan for Pillaton.

County Councillor D. Pugh explained that there were insufficient funds to mend all potholes in the area but advised the Council to report any large holes.

Cllr Heap promised to draw up a defects list of items in the Village requiring repair in the hope that volunteers would assist in repairing them.

The Chairman thanked Mr Phil Ruby for kindly cutting the hedge at the playing field at no cost.
