The Minutes of 7th March 2017 Council meeting were accepted unanimously.
It was agreed that the Council would host a meeting in the Village Hall on April 29th between 1.30 pm and 3.30pm in order to carry out a survey regarding the need for affordable homes for the residents of Pillaton.
The Council resolved to use the grant for repairing sign posts by restoring the sign at Polborder with new finger posts at up to a cost of £1,000.
The Council rejected the planning application for the demolition of a stable building at Leigh farm and the formation of an aviary, on the grounds that the plans for the aviary appeared to be that of a dwelling and did not meet the recommended requirements for an aviary. A recommendation was made that should the new build not be used as an aviary the building should be demolished.
Any Other Business
The Chairman reported that the playing field had been successfully purchased by the WW1 committee and ownership transferred to the Village Hall.
Concern was expressed regarding pot holes in the parish and Cllr Martin pointed out that any individual could report the pot holes on the Cornwall Council web site and prompt action was normally taken by Cornwall Council to repair them.
