Pillaton Parish Council Meeting Minutes - February 2011

Meeting held on 16/02/2011

Attendance

Cllrs. Dolley, Hoskin, Edwards, D. Floyd , S. Floyd , Martin and Harris.

Apologies

District Councillor Egglestone.

Declarations of Interest

None.

Public Forum

Mr. Millward attended the meeting and said that although he had lopped the branches of his trees overhanging the play park no fence had yet been erected. The Chairman replied that he had informed Mr. Millward that the Parish Council awaited the installation of the fence at no cost hence the Contractor would fit in the job when suitable. Cllr Martin reinforced this point and said that the fence Contractor’s visit was imminent.

Minutes

The Minutes of 19th January 2011 meeting were accepted unanimously.

Matters Arising

No reply had been received from District Councillor Egglestone in respect of two more salt bins being obtained for the village.

Salt Bins

The Council resolved that they would purchase a ton of salt and accept Mr. Gary Bridgman’s generous offer to store the ton bag of salt which he would use to refill the salt bins.

Planning Permission

None.

Cornwall Development

The Council agreed to study the proposals individually and report collectively.

Finance

The Bank position of Current account £800 and deposit account £3,274 was noted.

The following payments were approved:

  • Salt bin £225.86
  • Village Hall rent £60
  • Toner £36.40

Any Other Business

The Council confirmed that it would be the accountable body for the grant for improvements to the Hall and play park and requested that a letter of thanks be sent to Mrs Julie M’Hand for her efforts.

The Council noted with concern the poor state of the roads.

Cllr Edwards said that he was working with Mr. Chris Ley in the finalisation of the Parish Plan review.
